"Using Moore’s Law, which says that processing power doubles every year while the cost of production halves, Ahonen predicts that by 2020 even the cheapest “Africa phone” will have 3G, Wi-Fi, a touch screen and an 8-megapixel camera and will cost $10." - Moore's Law does not state that!! It is about the number of transisters that can be placed on an integrated circuit doubles every 18months to two years. Nothing about processing power (although there is an implied increase) and NOTHING about costs! Also this guy has not factored in the key factor which will prevent that reality - BUSINESS. Why don't we have $10 entry level phones today? Because there is more to a phone than the sum of components, there is shipping, support, marketing etc... plus the number one thing PROFIT!
