TalkCentral: Episode 3

Moments after we finished recording this week’s episode of the TalkCentral podcast, in which we speculated about the likely fate of communications department director-general Mamodupi Mohlala, the news came in that minister Siphiwe Nyanda had fired her. Fortunately — or, perhaps, unfortunately? — we weren’t too far off the mark in our pre-announcement speculation.

Other than the Mohlala-Nyanda fallout, TechCentral editor Duncan McLeod and deputy editor Candice Jones chat about the other big business technology stories that made the headlines on the website this week: the cancellation of the broadband spectrum auction, Vodacom’s first-quarter financial results, Bob Collymore’s appointment as Safaricom CEO, Seacom’s restoration, mobile television, and lots more.

As always, we’d welcome your input on what we’re doing right and what we need to improve. Should the show be longer? Or shorter? Please keep the comments coming — leave your input in the comments box below.
