TalkCentral is SA’s first business technology podcast. Hosted by TechCentral editor Duncan McLeod and deputy editor Candice Jones, TalkCentral is a weekly wrap-up of the big SA technology stories we’ve covered over the past week.

Meant as a complementary podcast to the ever-popular ZA Tech Show, the idea is to provide a succinct overview of what we’ve been covering on TechCentral, and to provide analysis behind and opinion about the news.

In the inaugural episode, McLeod and Jones talk about Reuben September’s early exit as CEO of Telkom and the appointment of turnaround specialist Jeffrey Hedberg to head the fixed-line operator in an acting capacity.

We also chat about the new chairman of Icasa, Stephen Mncube, and ruminate on the Seacom cable cut.

For now, you’ll need to access the show on the TechCentral website, though we will add it to iTunes within the next few weeks for those who want to set up an automatic subscription.
