As I see it the point of the research was to estimate the future requirement based on economic drivers and market demand so surely this should give some indication of what and where the jobs will be?

Sadly there are no detail as to where these jobs will be and how we can find ways to benefit from these "100,000 jobs". This research sponsored by Microsoft seems to be a bit lacking in substance but full of headline grabbing predictions. What is the breakdown - if in hardware sales of servers with MS software - what are the skills needed. If in services more detail is required to identify the skill set and to get the workforce trained.

2,300 new businesses?! Doing what? Selling Microsoft products? If so then lets start the debate as to how, who, what and then get these businesses going so that we can find jobs for the graduates or even better the graduates can start their own businesses and emply others.

95000 new jobs - good news. It's just a pity that it does not apply to all South Africans, considering that affirmative action seems to be a permanent policy.
