Three SA technology start-ups are heading to Seedcamp week in London to compete for a possible €50 000 (R460 000) investment from the micro seed funder.

Cognician, iSigned and GetAGreatBoss were chosen from a group of 11 SA start-ups in the first round of selections. They will join 20 other small businesses from around the world to compete for the funding.

“The SA start-ups we’ve chosen have unique and original products and offerings,” says Seedcamp CEO Reshma Sohoni.

Seedcamp is a programme created to jump start the entrepreneurial community by connecting small businesses with mentors and helping them develop sustainable businesses.

“We believe all three of these companies have the potential to go up against a group of international start-ups for their place in the sun,” says Sohoni.

She says Seedcamp will keep an eye on the African continent for more potential businesses. “Africa has some of the smartest minds in the world and there’s a ton of potential here,” she says.  — Staff reporter, TechCentral

Do not see anything original in the two companies selected.
Cognician is the only that might have some originality.
