Pips what then happens to the smaller ISP companies still running on those spectrums?The prices that ICASA are asking for those spectrums are quite high if you are a small ISP that would like to join the bid.

Joanne I understand that money goes into the national treasury, or to the Department of Communications. Can Techcentral perhaps get clarity on who takes the “spectrum auction” money? I don’t believe its ICASA themselves (well not legally anyhow).

I think that Internet Solutions are just hoping to exclude companies with deeper pockets than themselves. Grow up – it’s an auction – the regulator will look to make as much money out of this as it possibly can…
